Plant Finance Controller (Luxembourg)

Your role as Finance Controller;
This position is based on-site at the plant of Morgan Advanced Materials in Luxembourg (Windhof Koerich). 
You will be part of the Plants Management Team manage 1 team member and report directly to the Senior Finance Manager Operations based in France.
As the main language at the plant is French fluent in French is essential for integrating with the local team and English is required for broader business communication. 
The site has approximately 65 employees including production admin sales and R&D.

As the Finance Controller you will be the cornerstone of financial operations working closely with the local team and act as the key business partner to manufacturing and management. 
Your role will be hands-on and varied: youll oversee all financial activities from month-end close and budgeting to product costing and statutory reporting ensuring the sites financial health.

Youll play a pivotal part in the rollout of Microsoft Dynamics D365. This is your chance to shape processes drive change and leave a lasting impact as the site transitions to a more global finance structure.
Youll supervise and support the local accountant coordinate with the support team based in Swansea (UK) and be the go-to person for financial insights that help drive business decisions. 

To thrive in this role youll need a strong background in manufacturing finance a solid grasp of product costing and budgeting and the confidence to lead system implementations. Experience with Lux GAAP and statutory audits is highly valued.

What you need to do: 
    Responsible for all site financials: month-end close budgeting forecasting product costing and financial reporting;
    Supervise and support the accountant in daily transactions payment runs bank reconciliations and month-end activities;
    Responsibility to ensure completion of group IFRS financial reporting according to pre-defined timetable and quality according to group standards and requirements;
    Prepare and present financial indicators and analysis to support local business and manufacturing management;
    Lead and coordinate the ERP (Microsoft Dynamics D365) implementation for the site;
    Ensure statutory accounts are prepared in line with Lux GAAP and manage the audit process with external auditors;
    Liaise with the Swansea (UK) finance support team to delegate and coordinate transactional tasks;
    Maintain strong relationships with the local team fostering collaboration and supporting change management as the site adapts to a more global structure;
    Support and train team members on new systems and processes as required;
    Identify address and implement areas for process improvement and efficiency;
    Ensure compliance with local legal and tax requirements;
    Participate in site and business meetings acting as a key finance representative and advisor.

Qualifications :

What you need to bring:
    Proven finance leadership experience in a manufacturing environment with at least 8 years in accounting roles.
    Responsibility for the full Finance capabilities (accounting cash FP&A capex management tax etc.)
    Background in product costing budgeting forecasting and financial analysis specific to manufacturing;
    Experience with ERP systems preferably Microsoft Dynamics D365;
    Experience preparing statutory accounts and managing external audits familiarity of Lux GAAP;
    Ability to oversee daily financial operations payment runs bank reconciliations and month-end close;
    Strong communication skills: fluent in French for local team proficient in English for broader business;
    Excellent interpersonal relationship-building and change management skills; adaptable and proactive;
    Willing and able to work onsite in Luxembourg most of the time; independent and capable of managing multiple priorities.
