Job Summary
Pride Hyundai of Lynn is seeking a full-time Cashier to work Monday - Friday at our Hyundai dealership. The hours are 2pm-7pm Monday thru Thursday and 8am-6pm on Saturdays. If you enjoy working with the public and have an aptitude for numbers please apply to this position.
Responsibilities
- Greets customers at the cashier window in a pleasant and professional manner.
- Computes customer bills.
- Receives cash checks and credit card payments from customers; records amount received.
- Makes changeand issues receipts to customers.
- Provides refunds or credit memorandums to customers for returned merchandise. All returns/refunds MUST go through a manager.
- Reconciles cash drawer daily.
- Closes all open invoices.
- Include RO #s when running credit cards
- Works with department managers to keep abreast of new products and services offered their features and value and any changes in price.
- Answers customer questions about service performed or products purchased or refers them to someone who can.
- Handles customer complaints with integrity and poise and when necessary refers dissatisfied customers to the appropriate individuals for resolution.
- Reconciles gas purchase statements.
- Provides clerical and administrativeassistance to departments as needed.
- Assists service and parts departments with telephone coverage.
- Maintains a professional appearance.
Qualifications
- Excellent listening/communication skills outgoing and positive personality
- Punctual nature and ability to handle schedule flexibility and a dynamic work environment
- Strongmathematical skills and general knowledge of accounting
- Strong computer skills
