Position: Residential Aide
Program: Eddy Center
Location: Middletown
Salary: $17.00/hour
Schedule: FT/3rd Shift /Tuesday-Friday 10:30pm-8:30pm
Program Summary:
The Eddy Center is a residential housing program that provides individualized treatment services substance use and mental health education and job preparation to adult males who are under DOCs supervision so they can successfully re-enter their communities and avoid re-offending.
Position Summary:
The Residential Aide is responsible for direct client care. This includes activities of daily living and providing support for safety health and wellness. This position also assists program staff. The ideal candidate will establish develop and maintain respectful relationships with the people served. The Residential Aide will participate in maintaining a safe harm-free environment for all residents.
Working within Adult Services the Residential Aide works with Community Justice program staff to help to rehabilitate educate and successfully guide clients from incarceration back into the community.
Requirements:
- High School Diploma / GED
- 2 years relevant experience as a Residential Aide or equivalent
- Valid Connecticut Drivers License
- The Connection Inc. complies with Executive Order 13G. Any employee hired on or after September 27 2021 must either be vaccinated against COVID-19 or apply for a medical or religious exemption and be approved. If approved you must submit to weekly testing as required in each program.
Orientation:
If selected for employment with The Connection newly hired employees will be required to attend a two (2) day mandatory New Hire Orientation at our Roscommon office located in Middletown.
