Job Summary

Are you passionate about helping young people gain valuable experience in the workplace DN Colleges Group is seeking a proactive and organised Work Placement Co-ordinator to support the planning and delivery of high-quality work placements across our curriculum areas. This is a rewarding opportunity to make a real difference in students lives by helping them develop employability skills and prepare for their future careers.

About the Role

As a Work Placement Co-ordinator youll work closely with curriculum teams employers and students to ensure every learner receives an outstanding placement experience. Youll be responsible for organising placements conducting health and safety assessments and supporting students throughout the process.

Actual Salary: 22308.10 - 23423.28 per annum

Working Pattern: Monday - Thursday (8:30am - 5:00pm) Friday (8:30am - 4:00pm) / 35.5 hours per week

Essential Criteria

To be successful in this role you will need:

  • A relevant qualification and strong IT skills (Word Excel)
  • Experience working with 1419-year-olds ideally within the education sector
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Strong organisational and planning abilities with the ability to work under pressure
  • A full driving licence and access to a vehicle

Key Responsibilities

  • Organise and develop new and existing work placements across curriculum areas
  • Conduct health and safety assessments and monitor placement progress
  • Support students and staff with placement briefings and DBS checks
  • Maintain employer databases and manage placement documentation
  • Liaise with internal and external stakeholders to ensure smooth placement delivery

Lets Teach The LETs teach programme supports new members of teaching staff in terms of college systems and key teaching and learning areas including new staff lesson visits and postcard peeps. Each new member of staff has an allocated Lead Practitioner who works closely with them throughout the programme.

Lets Bloom
The LETs Bloom Programme aims to connect our experienced and qualified teachers to share best practice and support continued risk-taking as we continue to add depth to our teaching craft. Teachers volunteer on this one year programme working closely with the Learning Enhancement Team capturing their experimentation in a journal.
