As part of the team to support services for the European GNSS Service Centre (GSC) of the Galileo system you will have the following responsibilities:
- Monitor mission-critical systems and services to ensure operational continuity;
- Detect analyze and resolve Level 1 incidents promptly;
- Escalate complex issues to higher-level support teams when necessary;
- Execute routine operational procedures and checklists;
- Maintain system availability and performance across Linux and Windows environments;
- Support virtualization platforms and containerized applications;
- Perform basic troubleshooting of network equipment and connectivity issues;
- Ensure proper functioning of monitoring and analysis tools;
- Log incidents and service requests in ticketing systems;
- Track and update incident status until resolution;
- Create and maintain accurate technical documentation for operational processes.
Qualifications :
You will have the following qualifications and relevant experience:
- Bachelors degree in Computer science Telecommunications engineering or a related technical field;
- Minimum of 2 years of experience as System or Operations Engineer;
- Experience with Linux and Windows operating systems;
- Virtualization platforms and container technologies;
- Familiarity with Monitorization and analysis tools;
- Familiarity Network equipment;
- Ticketing systems and incident tracking tools;
- Holding a Personal Security Clearance (PSC)
- Ability to create and manage technical documentation;
- Experience or familiarity with satellite technologies or satellite navigation;
- Fluency in English is mandatory; knowledge of another European language is an advantage.
