Job Summary

Were looking for a Clinical Team Leader to guide a multidisciplinary team delivering mental health and addiction care to individuals in immigration this role youll combine clinical expertise with leadership skillsproviding direct patient care mentoring staff and driving program development.

Join us in bringing a new approach to medical and wellbeing care for detainees by:

  • Delivering high-quality Mental Health and Alcohol & Other Drug (AOD) services to detainees ensuring care that respects dignity culture values and rights.
  • Providing line management for the Mental Health and AOD primary health care team while supporting the Health Service Manager to keep operations running smoothly. Your leadership will also extend to overseeing Opioid Substitution Therapy (OST) Pharmacotherapy at the facility.
  • Identifying service delivery issues driving change initiatives and implementing sustainable person-centred solutions that improve health outcomes.
  • Building and maintaining strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders proactively engaging to resolve issues and enhance service delivery.
  • Driving continuous improvement initiatives and contribute to strategic planning.

You demonstrate a solid understanding of healthcare regulations standards of care clinical governance and quality improvement methodologiesessential for guiding your team and ensuring safe high-quality service delivery.  

You will hold relevant qualifications and experience including a Bachelor of Nursing degree along with a minimum of five years post-graduate clinical experience in a relevant healthcare setting and postgraduate qualification in mental health and/or AOD (AQF recognised).
