About the role

Applications are now open for a qualified and self-motivated Plant Operator to join our Parramatta Field Service Centre this role youll work alongside dedicated colleagues operating a variety of plant and vehicles including lifter borers truck mounted cranes EWPs and other heavy vehicles. Your main tasks will be supporting the construction and maintenance of our electrical network operating machinery to assist crews in delivering programmed works. This may involve working alongside larger crews or as part of a smaller two-person team depending on the task.

Youll be working in a variety of outdoor environments from rural to urban areas and youll need to be comfortable with both general labouring duties and machinery operation on and near the electrical distribution network.

Flexibility is key as you may be required to respond to emergencies and after-hours work. Our safety culture is at the forefront of everything we do and we expect all our team members to adhere to the highest safety standards both on-site and off-site.

Endeavour Energy supports all our people in further training development and attainment of operating licenses and tickets.

About you

To be considered for this opportunity you will need to meet the following requirements:

  • HR truck licence
  • Industry experience operating plant and equipment and a willingness to undertake training as required to build skills or attain appropriate licences and tickets.
  • Physically fit and able to carry out general labouring and workshop duties.
  • Proven ability to work effectively in a small team environment.
  • Ability to quickly adapt to new plant or vehicles.
  • Availability to respond to emergencies and after-hours work when required.
  • Proactive attitude towards improving skills and qualifications to enhance value to the company.
  • Willingness to operate or learn to operate various types of plant or vehicles and assist crews on the ground.

Desirable requirements include:

  • Workcover LF forklift ticket
  • Workcover EWP ticket
  • Workcover C2 crane ticket
  • Experience operating a small tipper.
  • HC Drivers Licence (or willingness to obtain one)
  • Understanding of safe work practices related to the installation and maintenance of electrical assets.
  • Experience operating Palfinger/Hiab truck-mounted cranes.
  • Experience working on and/or near live electrical distribution networks.
  • Experience operating lifter borers and other various items of plant.
  • Traffic Control Traffic Management certificates and Dogman/Crane Chaser ticket
