Sous Chef - Luxury Senior Living Location: Plano TX 75024
Compensation: $31.50 per hour Full-Time

Job Summary
Were seeking a skilled and passionate Sous Chef to help lead our culinary team in delivering high-quality resident-focused meals in a senior living environment. This role supports daily kitchen operations supervises staff and ensures meals are prepared with care consistency and attention to dietary needs. What Youll Do
- Ensure client and customer satisfaction through impeccable food production.
- Communicate effectively at various levels including management clients customers and associates.
- Follow directives from the Executive Chef or FSD.
- Step into leadership responsibilities in the Executive Chef/FSDs absence.
- Train and mentor team members to promote a positive and efficient work environment.
- Maintain strict adherence to recipes for all food production and products.
- Conductaccurateinventory counts in all food storage areas practicing FIFO (First In First Out) in assigned areas.
- Produce menu items according to timeline requirements.
- Uphold all HACCP (Hazard Analysis Critical Control Points) standard operating procedures.
- Label all prepared items with essential information including item details prep date use-by date and the preparers initials.
- Execute various cooking and preparation methods on proteins vegetables starches and other ingredients within the prescribedtimeframeto meet all service times for the café.
- Maintain all standard operating procedures.
- Ensure a clean and sanitary workstation/area by practicing the clean-as-you-go method.
- Other duties as assigned.
What You Will Bring
- Culinary degree or equivalent experience (preferred)
- Minimum three (3) years of experience in a professional kitchen with supervisory responsibilities preferably in a hospitalor high-volume setting
- Scratch-based cookingexpertise
- Strong knowledge of food safety sanitation and dietary requirements
- Excellent communication and leadership skills
- Compassionate and respectful attitude toward older adults
- Proficient computer skills including various programs Microsoft Office applications email and internet usage
- Ability to work flexible hours including weekends and holidays as needed
- ServSafe Certification and State Food Handlers Card
- Ability to successfully pass a criminal background check (State and Federal) and drug screen
Physical and Sensory Requirements
- This job involves regular exposure to moving mechanical parts and a kitchen environment with fumes airborne particles and moderate noise. Employees must have the physical stamina to stand for long periods lift trays and perform repetitive tasks. Occasional exposure to wet or humid conditions extreme temperatures and vibration may occur. Reasonable accommodations are available for individuals with disabilities.
