Penrose - St. Francis Health Services is a full-service 712-bed acute care provider in
Colorado Springs comprised of Penrose Hospital St. Francis Hospital and St. Francis
Hospital - Interquest. Penrose Hospital serves as the anchor hospital of Penrose-St. Francis Health Services with 300-licensed beds and the ability to provide tertiary (high tech) medical-surgical services with an emphasis on elective and outpatient care. Established in 1890 Penrose Hospital has grown to become a major health treatment and referral center specializing in cancer care cardiac care emergency trauma care and physical rehabilitation.

The Bariatric Program Coordinator is responsible for assessing planning directing implementing coordination and evaluation the effectiveness of the day to day operations of the Bariatric Program in accordance with the facility policies philosophy objectives and standards. Accountable to COE compliance.
Provides leadership and management for the bariatric service at the facility to assure optimal care for patients seeking/receiving bariatric surgery while meeting regulatory requirements from the Colorado Department of Public Health and Environment and the American Society for Metabolic and Bariatric (ASMBS). Responsible for daily operations of the bariatric program and the achievement of standards related to quality care patient satisfaction and fiscally responsible care delivery.
- Ensure Continuity in quality improvement initiatives
- Support both clinical and financial goals
- Help maintain accreditation standards
- Position the program for sustainable long-term growth
Schedule: Full-time (Days) 8:00am-5:00pm Monday-Friday.
Additional Requirements: Occasional weekends for community engagement and educational events.
Job Requirements
In addition to bringing your whole self to the workplace each day qualified candidates will need the following:
- Certification as a Certified Bariatric Nurse (CBN)
- Prior expereince working in a bariatric program
- Bachelors Degree in Business or Nursing
- 3 years in an acute setting required
- BLS required
- Registered Nursing license in State of employment required
