POSITION SUMMARY
The Counselor Addiction Treatment provides comprehensive counseling and support services to individuals recovering from substance use disorders. This position delivers individual and group therapy develops treatment plans and collaborates with an interdisciplinary team to promote recovery and long-term wellness.
REPORTING RELATIONSHIPS
Reports to: Program Manager County Program and Department Director Integrated Behavioral Health Services
Positions Supervised: None
EDUCATION AND CREDENTIALS
Masters degree in Social Work Counseling or a related field required
Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor (LCPC) or Licensed Certified Social WorkerClinical (LCSW-C) or eligibility for licensure required
Formal education or training in group therapy modalities and theory required (evaluated individually)
Certification in Addiction Counseling preferred
EXPERIENCE
Minimum of two (2) years of experience in a mental health substance use or addiction treatment setting
Proven experience facilitating group and individual therapy sessions
Familiarity with Utilization Review and clinical documentation standards
KNOWLEDGE SKILLS AND ABILITIES
Strong therapeutic and counseling skills with a focus on addiction recovery
Excellent interpersonal communication organizational and customer service abilities
Proficiency in documentation telecommunication and electronic record systems
Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team and engage effectively with clients and community partners
Salary Range: Minimum /hour - Maximum /hour. Compensation will be commensurate with equity and experience for roles of similar scope and responsibility. In cases where the range is displayed as a $0 amount salary discussions will occur during candidate screening calls before any subsequent compensation discussion is held between the candidate and any hiring authority.
