Job Summary
The Solution Engineer (SE) collaborates closely with client executives to align NetApps technical strategy with the customers long-term vision and goals. The SE addresses business and IT challenges by providing uniquely differentiated solutions. This role involves engaging with a wide range of customer stakeholders and leveraging the appropriate NetApp team and expertise in solutions products ecosystems and industry knowledge.
Job Responsibilities
- Actively engages with multiple stakeholders to understand the customers business challenges opportunities and imperatives.
- Utilizes deep customer knowledge to deliver a technical strategy and differentiated solutions to a broad spectrum of account stakeholders.
- Comprehends the customers use cases applications and the perceived value of NetApp solutions.
- Maintains and expands the customer stakeholder base managing key customer relationships.
- Develops and manages key relationships with alliance or reseller partners.
- Coordinates a wide range of NetApp and partner resources to develop and execute the technical strategy.
- Identifies growth opportunities beyond the existing customer base workloads and products.
- Continuously enhances industry solution and technical knowledge to increase relevance and presence in accounts.
- Refines soft skills and practices behaviors that enhance effectiveness and set high customer expectations.
- Increases NetApp revenue within aligned accounts maximizing the share of wallet.
- Manages a portfolio that reflects NetApps complete opportunities.
- Demonstrates a deep understanding of the customers technical landscape and challenges.
Job Requirements
- Preferred: At least10 years of relevant experience within Account Selling/Account Management in a Presales capacity
- Technical expertise: Comprehensive knowledge of Storage technologies partner offerings and the competitive landscape from a customer business perspective.
- Results-driven: Demonstrates customer obsession and technical authority to win opportunities with appropriate workload specialist engagement.
- Communication and planning: Functions as a key member of the account team engaging with customers and partners.
- Business acumen: Maps value propositions to customer requirements.
- Leadership: Provides technical leadership in team selling environments.
- Ownership: Manages the technical relationship with the customer at the executive level
- Knowledge of the Public Sectorspace in Singapore is a plus
