CommScope is looking to add anInventory Analystto be based in the Goa India.

Analyze and audit all aspects of inventory/inventory control including SAP transactions warehouse management cycle counting and material flow in order to develop and maintain significant inventory variance reduction inventory accuracy product trace ability production improvement and achievement metrics.

Duties & responsibilities

  • Ensures accuracy of the flow of inventory. Is responsible for physical inventories and leads the cycle count effort. Through process and procedure verification system review and transaction documentation improves security and tracking of inventory. Analyzes and verifies cycle count disparities and makes possible corrections. Support components goods area and works directly with Warehouse Supervisor in all aspects of materials and movements
  • Craft and develop short and long-term action plans and strategies to reduce future annual inventory variances. Identify root causes for inventory discrepancies and develop solutions to eliminate future occurrences. Prepares quarterly status reports to present to management
  • Handle all cycle counting activity; audits and reviews current cycle counting procedures. Responsible for generating and distributing part lists to be counted and analyzing discrepancies. Performs ABC analysis by identifying the top products and ensuring that these products are counted more frequently. Develops systems to improve the cycle count process and accuracy. Owns the cross-functional Inventory Synch Team to continuously identify and improve procedures
  • Design and implement the SAP bar coding system to eliminate manual data entry error improve inventory accuracy improve material flow and establish complete trace ability on all products. Analyze and investigate SAP transactions to ensure inventory accuracy. Monitors Receiving Quality Parts/Stockroom Production and Finished Goods inventory transactions
  • Evaluates current SAP transactional inventory reports; makes recommendations and defines data requirements for new reports.
  • Determines and evaluates common inventory transaction errors in SAP and builds SAP training modules for transactional inventory as needed. Provides SAP training as a corrective action to SAP inventory errors as needed.
  • Where applicable please refer to the Companys Schedule of Authority in order to identify approved spending levels.
  • Prepare and publish department dashboard to management and supervise critical metric for the department and coordinate internally so that important metric are under control
  • Suggest action for improving warehouse space utilization
  • Publish and monitor shelf life material and if required coordinate for expiry date revalidation.

Required Qualifications for Consideration:

  • Minimum 9 years experience with BE /BTech Degree.
  • Solid understanding of SAP; proficient PC skills using Microsoft Office products (Excel Word etc.)
  • Excellent written and verbal communication problem solving analytical and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to lead and prioritize cross-functional teams
