Job Summary
A well-resourced secondary school in Colchester is seeking a diligent organised and safety-conscious Science Technician to join their Science Faculty for an immediate start. This is an essential role that underpins the smooth running of practical science teaching and ensures students experience hands-on scientific investigation in a safe and well-prepared environment.
Role Responsibilities
You will work closely with science teachers and the Head of Department to:
Prepare chemicals reagents and apparatus for lessons across Biology Chemistry and Physics
Support teachers during demonstrations and practical set-ups
Maintain stock levels order materials and manage resource budgeting
Ensure all laboratory equipment is stored and handled in accordance with COSHH and health and safety guidelines
Help maintain a clean purposeful and well-organised laboratory environment
