Job Summary
A reputable secondary school in Bedford is seeking a reliable and skilled Caretaker to join their facilities team immediately.
This Good Ofsted-rated mixed school educates approximately 1000 students aged 1118 and offers a friendly professional working environment. The successful candidate will assist in maintaining the schools buildings and grounds performing general repairs managing security and ensuring compliance with health and safety standards.
Responsibilities include unlocking and locking the site maintaining classrooms and communal areas basic maintenance monitoring contractors ensuring safe use of equipment and supporting wider site operations as required.
The ideal candidate will have prior experience in caretaking or facilities work ideally within a school environment. A flexible proactive attitude and commitment to maintaining high standards of safety and cleanliness are essential. Basic knowledge of plumbing electrical and joinery repairs would be advantageous.
