POSITION SUMMARY Performs complete diagnostic imaging tests/ultrasound studies inclusive of positioning patient calibration of equipment and documentation of findings. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS Performs general ultrasound. Assists radiologist with ultrasound procedures. Provides verbal reports to radiologist and other providers. Other duties as assigned. EDUCATION Graduation from an accredited Ultrasound program or equivalent required. EXPERIENCE One (1) year hospital experience preferred. Registered ARRT(R) preferred. Experienced in non-invasive vascular and echocardiography exams preferred. CREDENTIALS Must be ARDMS registered or obtain within one year of hire. Will cross-train in Echo/Stress Echo. Will cross-train in non-invasive vascular exams. Must be BLS certified within 60 days of hire and must maintain certification throughout employment with IMH. KNOWLEDGE SKILLS AND ABILITIES Excellent customer service skills including but not limited to: a friendly personality tact patience empathy and a helpful professional attitude both in person and on the telephone. Ability to effectively communicate with staff managers and the general public verbally and in writing. Demonstrate effective listening skills. Excellent organization and time management skills and ability to establish priorities effectively. Possess exceptional problem solving skills. Ability to work effectively without immediate supervision. Ability to learn new computer software programs. Ability to recognize and protect confidential information. Demonstrate ethical and legal accountability for the position.
