Job Summary

CK Group are recruiting for an Electrophysiologist to join an innovative biotech with a strong pipeline of pre-clinical and clinical candidates. The role will be fully based at their laboratories in Stevenage.

This is a 12 month Fixed Term Contract.

Responsibilities:
  • As Electrophysiologist you will join a small focused preclinical R&D group focused on the discovery and development of novel ion channel therapeutics.
  • Planning execution and analysis of electrophysiology focused experiments to drive drug discovery and new target validation.
  • Giving scientific presentations at internal and external meetings including conferences and to partner companies
Qualifications:
  • A relevant PhD will be preferred
  • Experience within in-vitro whole cell patch
  • A strong understanding of ion chemicals neuroscience and the principals ofelectrophysiology and pharmacology
  • Experience with sold supported membrane-based electrophysiology (SSME) is desirable
