Job Summary

Were hiring a Cloud Developer (BI Tableau & DevOps) for one of South Africas leading establishments where data-driven insights play a central role in strategic decision-making.

This role is ideal for a technically strong developer who enjoys transforming complex data into clear meaningful analytics. Youll combine your back-end data engineering expertise with advanced Tableau development skills to design and maintain the cloud-based data layers that support enterprise reporting.

Responsibilities:

Designing and optimising ETL processes using SQL to manage data flow across AWS Redshift and Snowflake
Building robust data models that align with analytical and reporting requirements
Managing and provisioning cloud infrastructure using Terraform
Implementing CI/CD pipelines through Azure DevOps or equivalent tools
Troubleshooting and fine-tuning data warehouse performance
Developing and maintaining Tableau dashboards that deliver accurate actionable insights
Collaborating closely with analysts data scientists and stakeholders to translate business needs into technical solutions
Ensuring all workflows models and reports are well-documented and aligned with best practice standards

Requirements:

A degree in Computer Science Information Systems Data Science or a related field (or equivalent experience)
5 years of experience in Tableau development and data visualisation
Proficiency in SQL and hands-on experience with relational databases
Background in data processing extraction transformation and modelling
Working knowledge of AWS Redshift and Snowflake environments
Familiarity with Terraform and Azure DevOps
A solid understanding of statistical analysis and data modelling
