About the Role
On behalf of our client - a newly established FDI company specializing in renewable energy development across solar battery storage and distributed energy solutions for commercial and industrial (C&I) customers - we are seeking a Finance & Accounting Manager to join their dynamic and new entry team in Ho Chi Minh City Vietnam.
Backed by regional investors this fast-growing business is well-funded and embarking on an ambitious journey to develop and build over 150 MW of clean energy projects in the next three years.
As a Finance & Accounting Manager youll ensure accurate project accounting cost control financial analysis and compliance with local tax and regulatory requirements. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a dynamic entrepreneurial environment and is ready to build a finance foundation for long-term growth.
Key Responsibilities
Lead financial reporting and performance analysis across company and project levels.
Set up and monitor project cost accounting for multiple rooftop solar projects under development or construction.
Prepare review and ensure accuracy of management accounts and financial statements.
Oversee budgeting forecasting and variance tracking.
Supervise vendor and supplier payments for construction projects.
Manage month-end closing and statutory reporting for both Vietnam and Singapore entities.
Collaborate with technical teams to assess financial impact and performance issues of ongoing projects.
Liaise with auditors tax advisors and legal consultants to ensure full compliance.
Support project financing models for equity investors and lenders.
Evaluate and implement new accounting systems and manage ongoing updates.
Establish a strong internal financial control environment.
Take full ownership of finance operations in the first year and progressively grow the finance team as the business scales.
Requirements
Must-have
Bachelors degree in Accounting Finance or related field.
Minimum 5 years of experience in similar roles within energy construction or industrial services.
Excellent command of English and Vietnamese (both written and spoken).
Solid understanding of Vietnamese accounting standards tax and compliance regulations.
Strong hands-on experience with accounting systems and reporting tools.
Experience in M&A projects
Proven project accounting experience.
Entrepreneurial mindset and adaptability in a fast-changing environment.
High attention to detail and accuracy.
Strong analytical organizational and leadership skills.
Nice-to-have
Familiarity with renewable energy or infrastructure financing.
Experience managing multi-entity (VN & SG) reporting structures.
Background in renewable energy industry is preferable
