Job Title: Licensed Land Surveyor / Manager

Compensation: $85000 - $145000 per year (commensurate with experience education and licensure)
Position Summary:
We are seeking a highly experienced and licensed Land Surveyor / Manager to lead survey operations for civil and transportation projects. This senior-level role involves overseeing multiple field crews managing project delivery ensuring technical excellence and fostering client relationships. The ideal candidate will bring strong leadership deep technical knowledge and a commitment to quality and safety.
Key Responsibilities:

Plan organize and supervise the daily operations of multiple field crews and office staff.

Manage budgets schedules and client expectations to ensure successful project delivery.

Implement and maintain strict QA/QC processes across all survey deliverables.

Coordinate with state and local agencies on roadway utility corridor and infrastructure surveys.

Lead business development initiatives including proposal preparation and client engagement.

Provide mentorship performance feedback and career guidance to team members.

Review and approve survey plats legal descriptions and boundary resolutions.

Ensure compliance with applicable federal state and local surveying regulations and standards.
Required Qualifications:

Active Professional Land Surveyor (PLS) license or eligibility to obtain licensure within six months of hire (exam fees covered).

Minimum 12 years of professional surveying experience including at least 5 years in a management or supervisory role.

Proven experience with DOT and municipal projects including transportation and infrastructure surveying.

Proficiency in Bentley MicroStation / OpenRoads and AutoCAD Civil 3D.

Strong understanding of federal state and local survey regulations.

High school diploma or equivalent required; Bachelors degree in Surveying Geomatics or Civil Engineering preferred.
Preferred Qualifications:

Experience with subsurface utility locating and designating.

Familiarity with LiDAR scanning aerial mapping or sUAS (drone) operations.

Strong leadership and team-building capabilities with a focus on mentorship and quality improvement.
