Job Summary
Warehouse Associate
Location: Pelham AL 35124
Position Type: Contractor (Onsite)
Pay Rate: $17.00/hour
Schedule: Monday-Friday 7:00 AM-4:00 PM (1-hour unpaid lunch occasional overtime)
Start Date: Immediate Type: Temp-to-Hire
Summary
The Warehouse Associate is responsible for performing day-to-day warehouse operations including receiving storing picking packing and shipping goods. The role requires attention to detail safe work practices and physical stamina. The associate ensures accuracy in inventory and documentation within the companys ERP system (SxE).
Essential Duties & Responsibilities

Receive unload and store incoming goods; inspect for accuracy and damage.

Pick pack and prepare orders for shipment based on work orders or pick tickets.

Load and unload trucks; ensure secure and damage-free transit.

Operate warehouse equipment (pallet jacks forklifts etc.) as needed.

Maintain accurate records in the warehouse management system.

Perform manual pallet wrapping and assist with inventory counts.

Follow warehouse safety procedures and maintain a clean organized work area.

Complete other warehouse-related tasks as assigned.
Qualifications
-
Experience: 1 year in a warehouse or material handling environment preferred.

Education: High school diploma or equivalent preferred.

Skills & Abilities:

Ability to lift up to 50 lbs unassisted.

Basic computer skills for data entry and printing shipping documents.

Attention to detail and ability to follow verbal and written instructions.

Forklift or cherry picker experience preferred (sit-down forklift helpful).

Basic math skills (addition subtraction multiplication division).

Other Requirements: Steel-toe shoes required.
