Warehouse II / Forklift
The best fit is someone that has general warehouse shipping / receiving experience with Forklift Operation. The company is a global manufacturer and distributor of climate control products for the heating ventilation air conditioning and refrigeration markets. They use this staffing model to convert workers to full time employees. This is a great way to get hired fast!
- Requires at least 1 year of standup forklift OR 2 years sit-down forklift experience.
- We believe in safety first so the first 5 - 8 days will be computer-based safety training. This training comes with a test after every module and is designed to teach the company way.
- After completion of safety training they will begin work on the floor with receiving and shipping small parts and general housekeeping. This is a warehouse position not just a forklift position.
- Forklift training will begin during their fourth week of employment. Forklift certification will be done by a trainer.
PAY RATE: 20.00 hour
LOCATION: Sacramento CA 95834
- Training Schedule: 5:00 a.m. 12:30 p.m. (includes two 15-minute breaks and a 30-minute lunch)
- Post-Training Schedule: 10:00 a.m. 5:30 p.m. (or until work is complete)
- Workdays: Monday Friday (approximately 56 Saturdays per year based on business needs)
DUTIES:
- Under general supervision performs manual and clerical duties related to the shipment and receipt of materials supplies equipment and finished products.
- Receives goods verifies items against the record of shipment and inspects condition.
- Gathers verifies and packs items for shipment according to specifications and the transportation method used. Records received and shipped items according to established procedures.
- Routes materials supplies and equipment to inspection or stock areas.
- Completes written and computerized documentation.
REQUIREMENTS:
- Requires a high school diploma or GED.
- Drug Test
- Background Check
- Requires at least 2 year of standup forklift OR 3 years sit-down forklift experience.
ABILITIES:
- Knows typical shipping and receiving procedures and can handle some exceptions.
- Requires basic reading writing and numerical ability.
- Valid drivers license with good driving record may be required.
- Able to operate powered equipment such as forklift or hydraulic jack lift.
- Effective verbal communication skills.
- Able to lift up to 50 pounds.
