Key Responsibilities
Develop and manage sales within the assigned region (Northern England and Scotland).
Visit customers on-site including quarries recycling facilities ports and power stations.
Identify new business opportunities with OEMs end users and maintenance contractors.
Provide technical advice and product recommendations to customers.
Prepare and follow up on quotations pricing and tender submissions.
Work closely with the internal sales and technical teams to ensure excellent customer service.
Achieve agreed sales targets and contribute to overall business growth.
Report on market trends competitor activity and customer feedback.
Attend trade shows exhibitions and customer events as required.
Skills & Experience
Proven experience in an external sales or technical sales role (preferably in the bulk handling mechanical or industrial engineering sectors).
Good understanding of conveyor systems and related components (rollers pulleys idlers belts etc.) is highly advantageous.
Strong technical aptitude and ability to discuss mechanical products confidently with engineers and maintenance staff.
Excellent communication negotiation and relationship-building skills.
Self-motivated and capable of working independently within a defined territory.
Proficient in using CRM systems and Microsoft Office tools.
Full UK driving license (essential).
Required Skills:
Gas Safe Registered (essential) Commercial gas certifications (e.g. CPA1 TPCP1A CCN1 CENWAT CKR1 HTR1 CODNCO1 CDGA1) NVQ Plumbing (preferred) OFTEC qualifications (advantageous) CSCS Card (preferred) Full UK Driving Licence (essential)
