Electric Power Engineers Inc. (EPE) works with clients on a global scale designing solutions for renewable energy (solar/wind/battery storage) Generation Interconnection Transmission Planning Distribution Planning Distributed Energy Resources (DER) and Smart Grids.

Howyou can make an impact:

The Interconnection Services Intern will report to an experienced Engineer and be exposed to exciting projects building valuable industry knowledge. Through this opportunity the intern will gain hands-on experience.

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

• Experience with automation tools and frameworks which can streamline data processing and reporting workflows.
• Building static and dynamic power system models includingnew technologies such as inverters wind turbines or storage systems which may require interaction with equipment vendors todeterminetheappropriate parameters.

• Experience with any types of power system software and their APIs (e.g. PSSE TARA PSSE PowerWorld PSCAD etc) would be considered a plus

Bring your passion here whats needed:

• Currently pursing bachelors masters or PhD in Electrical Engineering Power Systems
• Background in power systems tools a plus(TARA PSSE PowerWorld PSCAD etc)
• Minimum GPA of 3.0 or higher

Location: This position will be in person at one of the following locations: Austin TX Champaign IL Waterloo Canada Beirut Lebanon . Start date for this position is January 20th 2026 and will conclude on May 15th 2026. Position is 20 hours a week. Summer extension is in-person 40 hours a week
