Position Summary:
Franklin Pierce University invites applications for a full-time Assistant Professor and Program Coordinator of Graphic & Digital Communication at our undergraduate Rindge campus. This is a newly redesigned program and offers the successful applicant the opportunity to help develop and distinguish the curriculum. Applicants must be proficient in teaching graphic design content creation and web and application development. Additional responsibilities include advising on course scheduling coordinating with other programs that contribute to the curriculum in the program student advising and contributing to the Universitys General and Liberal Education Program including teaching the required First Year Inquiry Seminar.
Job Responsibilities and Essential Functions of the Position:
Teaching full time (4/4 course load)
Academic advising
Course scheduling advising
Scholarly/creative work
Institutional service
Contributing to the General and Liberal Education Program
Position Requirements/Skills/Abilities:
Successful candidates will have earned a terminal degree in graphic design digital communication or a closely related field. Experience in the field of graphic design and/or digital communication a plus.Successful candidates will have a record of effective college-level teaching strong commitment to undergraduate education advising and mentorship and a commitment to engage in professional scholarly and creative work.
At minimum a successful candidate must be:
- Proficient in UX/UI design
- Proficient in HTML CSS JavaScript Figma Apple X
- Proficient in Adobe Creative Cloud
- Proficient in audio/video production
- Proficient in social media design
