ABOUT THE OPPORTUNITY
ONE Datais the policy backbone of the ONE Campaigns work. Ourvision is to be thecutting-edgego-to resource for data and analysis on the trends shaping the future of humanitypoverty debt education health financing youth opportunity and more. The PR Consultant will be the translation engine for that vision: they will distribute ONE Datas findings to new audiencesconvenepartners and influencers and create collaborative audience-driven moments that both position ONE Data as a leader and surface practical pathways to policy and public impact.
IN THIS ROLE YOU WILL:
- Own a new monthly ONE Data webinar: develop angles curate guests brief spokespeople and run pre/post outreach and mini-campaigns to convert convenings into coverage and partner action.
- Translate ONE Data products into human-centered media-ready narratives (pitches explainers op-eds speaker briefs social hooks).
- Help develop and manage syndication partnerships and produce regular partner content (adapted explainers newsletter pieces visuals).
- Serve as a helpdesk for journalists and stakeholders navigating ONE Data tools and findings.
- Build and curate a user community and user journeyproduce assets (policy content special insights briefing notes) that sustain engagement.
- Support broader PR and media outreach to secure coverage for ONE Data analysis.
DELIVERABLES:
- End-to-end delivery of one high-impact webinar per month (angles guests briefs outreach post-event one-pager).
- Help the partnerships and content leads manage a syndication plan and develop regular partner content pieces.
- Timely responses and briefings for journalist inquiries (helpdesk support).
- Monthly community engagement asset (newsletter or special insight) and user journey updates.
- Monthly activity log and brief impact report showing coverage partner activations and message pull-through.
CORE COMPETENCIES:
- Landscape & audience insight: Deep understanding of the information ecosystem (journalists newsletters data journalists influencers publishers) and what motivates each audience to cover share or act on a story.
- Data story translation: Proven ability to interrogate data products and shape 13 clear human-centered narratives per webinar (pitches op-eds explainers speaker briefs social hooks) that non-specialists understand and care about.
- Development & data ecosystem knowledge: Familiarity with development topics (debt financing health youth employment poverty). An ideal candidate would have a cursory understanding of how data is produced validated and used in the sector so they can credibly bridge researchers and audiences.
- Partnership & relationship building: Skilled at activating existing contact lists growing networks and converting partners (think-tanks regional NGOs independent journalists other networks) into committed amplifiers and co-hosts.
- Audience-driven positioning: Knows how to tailor messaging and channel strategy to different stakeholders (policymakers funders editors public readers) so each webinar places ONE Data at the center of the conversation.
- Event activation & content packaging: Can design hooks and mini-campaigns around monthly webinarscurating guests briefing spokespeople drafting advisories and coordinating pre/post outreach and media briefings to maximize pickup.
- Execution & project management: Reliable self-starter who can run monthly moments end-to-end while juggling parallel outreach timelines asset production and partner coordination.
- Measurement & iterative learning: Tracks message pull-through partner commitments and indicators of narrative shift and uses learning to refine future webinar angles and outreach.
WHAT WE NEED FROM YOU:
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills; able to manage relationships with senior experts and partners.
- Knowledge of sovereign debt issues and landscape is preferred.
- Strong project management and coordination skills.
- Experience working with international NGOs multilateral institutions or policy/advocacy organizations.
- Excellent writing and research skills with the ability to draft clear and compelling policy documents.
- Outstanding writing and communication skills.
- A positive can-do attitude.
REPORTING:
Reports to Micaela Iveson Policy & Projects Manager.
LOCATION:DC preferred remote optional.
CONTRACT:Full-time contractor (40hrs/week) 6-7-month contract January-June 2026.
