Clinical Shift Schedule: Monday Friday 8-hour shifts

Case Mix: General anesthesia OB trauma vascular (including AAA repair) cardiac cath lab healthy pediatrics basic nerve blocks

FACILITY INFORMATION

Trauma Level: Level III

EMR System: Epic

Office Equipment Available: Fully equipped ORs Cath Lab and Vascular Suites

Specialty Backup Available: Full hospital-based subspecialty support including vascular trauma OB pediatrics neurosurgery

Support Staff Available: Full OR team anesthesiology staff and nursing

Reason for Coverage: Supplemental

PRIVILEGES & COMPLIANCE

Hospital Privileges Required: Yes

Credentialing Timeline: 6090 days

Orientation: In-person orientation required within 2 weeks of start date

COMPENSATION & BENEFITS

Travel Lodging and Malpractice Insurance: Yes

Provider must enter hours in Vemsta platform; order entry required

REQUIRED PROCEDURES

Healthy pediatrics anesthesia (down to 6 months)

Major vascular procedures (including AAA repair)

Cardiac cath lab anesthesia

Obstetric anesthesia

Trauma cases

Regional anesthesia and peripheral nerve blocks

Orthopedic anesthesia

Vascular anesthesia

Spine and thoracic anesthesia

JOB REQUIREMENTS

Licenses: Active Indiana license/IMLC

Board: BC/BE in Anesthesiology

DEA: Yes

Certifications: ACLS BLS (AHA issued)

Experience: Minimum 2 years post-residency

Other Qualifications: Must attest competence and ability to independently perform all required procedures from day 1; flu and COVID vaccination or valid exemption required

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

Provide comprehensive anesthesia care across all required case types

Perform regional and peripheral nerve blocks

Work independently with no CRNA supervision

Manage OR anesthesia for adult pediatric (6 months) trauma vascular spine thoracic and OB cases

Complete documentation and order entry in Epic

Participate in pre-op intra-op and post-op anesthesia workflows
