What we are looking for
SCS Engineers is looking for a summer 2026 intern for our Charleston SC office. This opportunity offers valuable hands-on experience in both technical and environmental business operations through a diverse range of client projects while giving you the chance to explore the beginnings of your own career path.
As an intern youll work alongside experienced professionals on projects centered around various aspects of site inspections and site history review geographic information systems (GIS) soil and groundwater investigation/remediation brownfield redevelopment site development and other projects. You will typically work 40 hours per week.
How you can make an impact
You will contribute to our projects by assisting SCS project teams with the following tasks:
- Soil groundwater and vapor investigation/remediation sampling
- Phase I Environmental Site Inspections
- GIS Projects
- Laboratory data management and review
- Reporting and calculation preparation
- Design assistance
Qualifications
- Currently pursuing a bachelors or masters degree in geology hydrogeology soil science environmental science environmental or geological engineering and graduating by June 2028 required.
- Must be willing to live in the Charleston area for Summer 2026 (housing will not be provided).
- ArcGIS and/or AutoCAD experience preferred.
- Previous leadership experience preferred.
- Strong written and verbal communication.
- Great attention to detail and solid judgment.
- A valid drivers license with a driving record in good standing required.
Pay Range
USD $20.00 - USD $23.00 /Hr.
