Friendly Acura of Middletown is looking to fill a full time position for a Service and Parts department assistant. This candidate will fluctuate between service and parts on a daily basis in the capacity of service advisor parts counter person
Job Description:
- Ensure that customers receive prompt courteous and effective service in person and by answering phones
- Serve as support to the Service Advisors and parts department team
- Open and close new and used car internal repair orders
- Provide quotes to sales department for reconditioning of used cars
- Prioritize required services
- Oversee the parts sales process from customer inquiry to finding the part to invoicing the customer.
- Work with parts manager to locate any parts not in stock.
- Complete special order part request for any parts that need to be ordered for the customer.
- Communicate with customer on the status of any parts ordered and notify them upon delivery to the dealership.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
- Communicate with staff and customers in a friendly and professional manner.
- Must follow all company safety policies and procedures.
Job Requirements:
- Ability to answer phones and coordinate service area
- Must be available to work on Saturdays
- Previous automotive/dealership service experience highly preferred
- Strong customer service skills needed
- Strong communication skills to deal with customers employees and vendors
- Problem solver
- Must be computer friendly
- Ability to work in a fast-paced work environment
- Strong organizational and time management skills
- Valid Drivers License
- Professional appearance required
- Enthusiasm strong communication skills positive attitude ambition work ethic professional conduct high integrity and dedication to personal improvement
