Job Title: Registered Nurse Med/Surg Tele (Orthopedic Spine Unit)
Location: Columbia SC 29203
Shift: Days 3x12-hour 07:0019:30
Contract Length: 13 Weeks
Orientation: 16 Hours (Non-Billable)

Unit Information

Orthopedic Spine (26 Beds Telemetry Capable)
This unit specializes in the care of post-operative spinal surgery patients including:

Laminectomies
Spinal fusions
Discectomies

Patient care includes:

Comprehensive pain management
Mobility and physical therapy support
Telemetry monitoring as indicated

This unit may also receive observation patients and MS/Tele overflow including patients from the Emergency Department.

Requirements

Active SC RN or Compact RN license (No pending licenses accepted)
Strong Cardiac/Telemetry clinical background required
Must work 2 of the 3 major winter holidays
No RTO allowed during the week between Christmas and New Year
Typical Ratios: 1:5 can increase to 1:6

Schedule & Expectations

Day Shift: 07:0019:30
312-hour shifts per week
No block scheduling offered

Floating Policy

Agency staff may be required to float to other units or nearby campuses due to census or staffing needs. Floating will only occur to areas where the nurse is:

Clinically qualified and
Competencies have been verified

Vaccination Requirements
