We are seeking a dynamic and achievement-oriented Community Engagement Officer to undertake community engagement programs in collaboration with the portfolio Coordinators and Project Managers and other members of our Community Consultation and Engagement Team.
About The Role:
As an Engagement Support Officer you will deliver community engagement and consultation activities for a range of Council projects and services.
Youll work closely with staff across the organisation Elected Members and key stakeholders to ensure our community is informed included and heard. This includes preparing communication materials updating engagement platforms coordinating meetings and supporting a consistent and positive customer experience.
Youll be part of a collaborative team thats passionate about creating meaningful connections and delivering great outcomes for our community.
About You:
Youre someone who thrives on variety values great teamwork and is passionate about community engagement.
You bring experience in engagement consultation communications social planning or administration ideally within local government or a similar setting and may also hold a relevant qualification such as IAP2 or equivalent. Youre confident working across different teams and enjoy building strong relationships with colleagues Elected Members stakeholders and the community.
You have a proactive and organised approach with the ability to manage competing deadlines while maintaining great attention to detail. Youre a clear and confident communicator as someone who can engage with a diverse audience using tact diplomacy and care.
Youre comfortable using digital platforms can write clearly and simply and always look for ways to improve the experience for others.

The Detail:
The position is offered on a full-time 2 year fixed-term basis and is classified at Level 4 with a starting salary of $94868 per annum Super Annual Leave Loading.
