Job Title: Senior Patient Registrar
Location: Flushing NY 11355
Type: Contract (24-week Assignment)
Pay Rate: $27/hr
Shift: Monday Friday 9:00 AM 5:00 PM (includes a 45-minute break)

Job Overview:
Navitas Healthcare LLC is seeking Senior Patient Registrar for an exciting job in Flushing NY.
Responsibilities:
Perform accurate and timely patient registration for all incoming patients.
Verify insurance coverage benefits and eligibility.
Maintain up-to-date patient records and documentation in the Electronic Health Record (EHR) system.
Collect demographic and billing information with attention to detail.
Handle phone inquiries scheduling and coordination with clinical staff.
Assist patients with forms authorizations and check-in/check-out procedures.
Utilize medical coding (ICD-9 CPT-4) for billing and insurance processing.
Ensure compliance with confidentiality and healthcare regulations.
Provide excellent customer service and maintain a professional demeanor in all interactions.
Requirements:
Education: High School Diploma or GED (Required); Some college coursework (Preferred).
Experience: Minimum 3 years clerical experience (Required); 35 years preferred ideally in a cardiology or medical office setting.
Technical Skills:
Data entry speed of 4500 keystrokes/hour (Required).
EHR proficiency (Strongly Preferred).
Working knowledge of ICD-9 and CPT-4 coding (Preferred).
Proficiency with Microsoft Office telephone systems and general computer operations.
Soft Skills: Strong customer service communication and organizational skills.
Other: Knowledge of health insurance benefits and requirements (Preferred).
