Group/Division

With over 40 years of semiconductor process control experience chipmakers around the globe rely on KLA to ensure that their fabs ramp next-generation devices to volume production quickly and cost-effectively. Enabling the movement towards advanced chip design KLAs Global Products Group (GPG) which is responsible for creating all of KLAs metrology and inspection products is looking for the best and the brightest research scientist software engineers application development engineers and senior product technology process engineers. The RAPID division is the world leading provider of reticle inspection solutions for the semiconductor industry. The company provides inspection solutions to both the mask shops and the semiconductor fabs to ensure that lithography yields are consistently high thus enabling cost-effective manufacturing.

Job Description/Preferred Qualifications

Specific responsibilities include:

• Definition and execution of test plans to validate dynamic system performance. Document analyze and present test results
• Compare measurements with simulation results and update system dynamics models as needed
• Perform calibration and control tuning on advanced mechatronic systems
• Make proposals for improving current control performance and drive the implementation of solutions. Document and present the methodology and outcomes

Preferred qualifications:

• Deep knowledge of dynamic system feedback control and signal processing
• Experience with dynamic testing including modal testing and vibration measurement
• Experience modeling control of dynamic systems using Matlab/Simulink and Python
• Strong analytical capability written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills

Minimum Qualifications

Currently enrolled in a graduate program (MS or PhD) in Mechatronics Control Systems Mechanical Engineering or a related field. Requires less than 1 year of related experience.

Base Pay Range: $45.00 - $55.00 per hour based on pursuit of a Masters and Ph.D.
