Your future duties and responsibilities:

For our public sector client we are looking for an experienced Support Specialist with expertise in telephony. The start date is flexible following successful onboarding

  • You will work as part of the 3rd Level Support team assisting users with issues or errors related to Unified Communications (UC).
  • Act as the interface between operations and project teams ensuring smooth onboarding of new sites and services into the managed service environment.
  • Plan and implement new releases of the UC software in use.
  • Collaborate with vendors from our solution portfolio to resolve incidents and contribute to product enhancements and adaptations.
  • Support our automation team and participate in implementing automation solutions.
  • Maintain regular contact with customers gather their requirements and requests and organize their implementation.

Required qualifications to be successful in this role:

  • 5 years of hands-on experience in the IT services industry including areas such as networking and telecommunications
  • Experience working with ticketing systems (Incident and Change Management) and familiarity with ITIL practices
  • Proven experience in transitioning tasks into a Managed Service environment
  • Knowledge of telephony systems (including other vendors such as Nortel Alcatel Siemens etc.) and their administration and support
  • Experience with the Cisco Collaboration Suite or Microsoft Teams telephony would be an advantage for onboarding but is not a prerequisite
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Teams administration and management can help accelerate onboarding
  • Fluent German (minimum C1 level) and English proficiency (minimum B1 level)
