Childcare Worker, Program Area Leader

Key Duties and Responsibilities:

• Responsible for caring nurturing supervision and safety of children
• Plans organizes and implements activities and special events for the program.
• Oversees daily program operations by ensuring facilities and equipment are available policies and guidelines are followed and all standards and licensing requirements are met.
• Provides recommendations to the supervisor regarding program development policy and procedure updates and program evaluation.
• Ensure Agency Policies and Procedures program standards WCB standards Community Care Licensing regulations risk management requirements and general facility safety standards are met
• Collaborates with community service providers and other professionals to coordinate services facilitate referrals and represent the organization or program at external meetings and events.
• Monitors and authorizes program expenditures maintains accurate financial records and contributes to budget preparation in accordance with established procedures.
• Maintains program records and statistical data and prepares reports as required

Qualifications:

• A diploma certificate and/or relevant experience working with children in recreation education or other social services.
• Current First Aid certificate and Food Safe (or willingness to obtain)
• Successful completion of Agency screening process including criminal record check
• Class 4 Drivers Licence or willingness to obtain

Hours: Casual on call hours Monday to Friday.

Rate of Pay: $22.60 per hour
