Turner & Townsend is seeking to appoint a Senior Commercial Manager to work on exciting Rail Infrastructure developments. The Senior Commercial Manager will play a key role in delivering value managing stakeholder expectations and ensuring project profitability and compliance.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead commercial strategy and execution across all phases of rail construction projects.
- Manage and mentor commercial teams including Quantity Surveyors and Contract Administrators.
- Oversee procurement processes contract negotiations and supplier management.
- Monitor project budgets forecasts and financial performance ensuring alignment with business objectives.
- Identify assess and mitigate commercial risks and opportunities.
- Ensure compliance with contractual obligations legal requirements and company policies.
- Prepare and present commercial reports to senior leadership and stakeholders.
- Support claims management dispute resolution and final account settlements.
- Collaborate with project managers engineers and external partners to ensure commercial success.
Key Skills & Competencies
- Strong knowledge of NEC FIDIC and other standard forms of contract.
- Expertise in cost control procurement and contract negotiation.
- Excellent leadership and team management skills.
- Strong analytical financial and commercial acumen.
- Effective communication and stakeholder management abilities.
- Proficiency in commercial software (e.g. CATO CostX SAP Oracle).
Qualifications :
- Degree in Quantity Surveying Commercial Management Civil Engineering or related field.
- Chartered status (e.g. MRICS MCIOB or equivalent) preferred.
- Minimum 7 years of commercial experience in large-scale infrastructure or rail projects.
- Proven track record in managing multi-million-dollar contracts and commercial teams.
