Design Manager (MechanicalElectrical) Mixed Development

• Oversee the entire MEP design process from concept to detailed design and construction documentation.
• Review and approve design submissions from consultants for compliance with project specifications codes and standards.
• Ensure integration of mechanical and electrical systems with architectural and structural designs.
• Implement value engineering and sustainability principles (e.g. energy efficiency LEED compliance).
• Act as the primary liaison between the client design consultants and contractors for all MEP design matters.
• Prepare and present design progress reports to the client and PMC leadership.
• Ensure designs meet local building codes university standards and international best practices.
• Validate design calculations drawings and technical specifications.
• Monitor adherence to safety environmental and sustainability requirements.
• Develop and maintain design schedules aligned with the overall project master plan.
• Manage design deliverables and ensure timely submission.
• Provide technical guidance during tendering construction and commissioning phases.
• Review shop drawings material submittals and respond to RFIs related to MEP design.

Qualifications :

• Bachelors degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering
• 1015 years in MEP design and project management with experience in large-scale institutional projects.
• Familiarity with design software (AutoCAD Revit BIM tools).
• Excellent communication leadership and stakeholder management skills.
• Ability to manage multiple design packages and consultants simultaneously.
• Strong knowledge of HVAC electrical distribution fire protection and plumbing systems.
