Schedule: 8:00 AM 4:00 PM 23 Days per Week (Approx. 24 hours/week) Possible weekends Flexible coverage for technologist vacations
Weekly Gross Pay: $2091.12
Position Overview:
We are seeking a qualified MRI Technologist to join a leading healthcare facility in New York City. The ideal candidate will demonstrate expertise in MRI imaging procedures ensuring high-quality diagnostic results while maintaining patient safety and comfort. This position requires flexibility attention to detail and the ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a dynamic hospital environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Perform MRI procedures according to established protocols and physician instructions.
Ensure optimal image quality through precise patient positioning and equipment operation.
Maintain and troubleshoot MRI equipment to ensure proper functionality.
Accurately document patient information imaging data and procedure details.
Collaborate with physicians nurses and technologists to ensure timely and efficient workflow.
Adhere to all safety and infection control standards including MRI zone protocols.
Provide compassionate and professional care to patients throughout the imaging process.
Required Education & Licensure:
Graduate of an AMA/J.C.E.R.T.-accredited program in Radiologic Technology.
New York State License in Diagnostic Radiology.
A.R.R.T. (MRI) Registry Certification.
BCLS (Basic Cardiac Life Support) Certification.
Preferred Experience:
Skills & Competencies:
Strong knowledge of cross-sectional anatomy and MR physics.
Excellent technical analytical and patient care skills.
Ability to work independently and within a collaborative team setting.
Exceptional attention to detail documentation accuracy and safety awareness.
