The role
Clifford Chance is seeking an environmental transactional associate attorney to join our Houston or Washington D.C. office. The ideal candidate will have 3-5 years of experience in advising clients on regulatory aspects of environmental and occupational health and safety law in the context of corporate transactions. The successful candidate will have a strong understanding of the environmental and occupational health and safety regulatory landscape and be able to issue spot critical environmental health and safety risks across a wide variety of sectors and industries including the energy sector. Responsibilities for this role include managing environmental due diligence drafting and negotiating environmental provisions in transaction documents managing and coordinating large teams (including technical consultants and local counsel) and advising on environmental-related public disclosures and a wide-variety of environmental regulatory compliance matters. This role also offers the opportunity to work on emerging environmental topics involving project development (including renewable energy) and the evolving regulatory landscape against a global backdrop.
Qualifications :
Your experience
Stellar academic credentials and law firm experience in an environmental-related practice required. Transactional experience preferred. Preferred class years 2020-2022.

Clifford Chance US LLP offers a comprehensive benefits and compensation package. The salary range for this role is $260000 - $365000. Actual salary will be commensurate with the candidates qualifications and relevant experience.
