This role is part of the Master Data Management (MDM) division where we are dedicated to providing world-class operational support and driving seamless collaboration across departments to ensure efficiency and innovation. At Roche we dont just maintain datawe transform it into actionable insights that enable impactful decisions supporting business needs and customer satisfaction worldwide.

The Opportunity:

As an MDM Associate you will play a crucial role in ensuring our technological architecture meets user requirements while maintaining day-to-day operations in line with established service levels and SOPs. Your work will be pivotal in ensuring smooth data flow across our global business processes enabling Roche to stay at the forefront of healthcare innovation.

Service Delivery:

In this role youll be responsible for performing a variety ofcruciall tasks including but not limited to:

  • Conducting system analysis issue resolution and inquiry handling

  • Ensuring process compliance across all relevant activities

  • Handling incoming incidents supporting Roche affiliates

  • Utilizing our ticketing system for managing incoming requests and issues

  • Working within agreed SLA thresholds for incident resolution and requests

  • Acting as the first point of contact for business users in the maintenance of Supplier Customer Employee and Intercompany Master Data

Documentation Handling and Reporting:

  • Maintaining process documentation training materials and an extensive knowledge base

  • Ensuring all documentation remains up to date clear and accessible for continuous learning and operational efficiency

Cross-Functional Collaboration:

  • Proactively seeking opportunities to enhance collaboration between teams and functions across various regions and departments

  • Training & Advisory:

    • Developing learning paths and materials for training sessions

    • Contributing to cross-departmental initiatives

    • Coordinating with support teams for process and system changes

    • Offering cross-department training to help upskill other teams within Roche

  • Service Transition Project Management and Process Improvement:

    • Handling projects and supporting global initiatives from initiation to execution

    • Assisting with deployment support including data collection training and testing

    • Engaging in technology projects including functional analysis and testing within systems like HP ALM and Scripting Regression Testing

    • Finding opportunities for process improvement and driving implementation plans

    • Coordinating and prioritizing multiple cases and mini-projects simultaneously

Leadership People and Culture:

  • Stakeholder Management:

    • Ensuring regular communication with the Finance & Procurement community

    • Acting as a key escalation point for IT-related issues

    • Building strong relationships with internal stakeholders to understand their business needs

    • Delivering exceptional service support to the business and external parties

    • Partnering with a variety of business and technical teams to enhance service delivery

    • Understanding customer objectives and working to gather and deliver on their requirements effectively

    • Acting as a conduit between business and technical support teams ensuring alignment across the organization

  • Collaborating across teams to develop an environment of trust and innovation

  • Participating actively in workshops meetings and team-building events

Employees are expected to adhere to Roches Safety Security Health and Environmental Protection (SHE) Guidelines and applicable laws ensuring that mandatory training courses are completed and procedures followed.

Who You Are:

You are a highly effective communicator and team player who thrives in a multicultural environment and exhibits strong service orientation.

  • Fluent communication skills in English (both written and spoken)

  • Strong customer focus with excellent partner management abilities

  • Experience with SAP (FI MM CO SD)

  • Capable of working independently or within a team handling tasks effectively

  • Detail-oriented innovative and driven to improve processes

  • Proven multitasking and prioritization skills

  • Analytical thinking with a focus on continuous improvement

  • Master Data Management experience (0-1 year)

  • Previous project experience (desirable)

  • Familiarity with SAP technical knowledge (MM AA SD modules) is a plus

  • MD basics knowledge (desirable)

Further Requirements:

  • Experience in Shared Services or Customer Service Centre in a support function is a plus

  • Bachelors degree in relevant fields such as Finance Accounting Information Systems Data Science Supply Chain Management or Operations Management
