Verdantas is seeking a skilled Technician II to join our team in the Rancho Cucamonga office. This position offers the opportunity to support a variety of environmental and engineering projects working alongside experienced professionals in a collaborative setting. As a Technician II you will assist with field investigations data collection and technical reporting to help deliver innovative and sustainable solutions for our clients. We are looking for a detail-oriented individual who enjoys hands-on work and is committed to quality and safety.
What Youll Do:
- Conduct advanced field and laboratory tests on construction materials structures and systems
- Perform inspections and assessments of projects to ensure compliance with specifications and standards
- Collect analyze and interpret data from tests and inspections
- Prepare detailed technical reports and documentation of findings
- Operate and maintain advanced field and laboratory equipment
- Assist in the development and implementation of project plans and protocols
- Provide technical support and guidance to junior staff and team members
- Participate in quality control and quality assurance programs
- Communicate findings and recommendations to the Project Manager/Supervisor
- Follow all safety guidelines and procedures
- This position will require periodic travel for up to a month at a time at remote job sites for instance in the High Sierras.
What You Bring:
- High school diploma or equivalent; associate degree or technical training preferred
- 2 years of experience in environmental geotechnical or construction-related fieldwork
- Familiarity with field sampling techniques soil and groundwater testing and use of field instruments
- Ability to read and interpret plans and specifications
- Comfortable working outdoors in varying conditions and lifting equipment as needed
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to accurate data collection and documentation
- Knowledge of health and safety protocols and ability to follow established procedures
- Excellent communication skills and ability to work collaboratively with engineers and project managers
- Flexibility to travel to project sites and adapt to changing schedules
- Will require physical drug screening Live Scan.
Salary Range:
$23.00 - $30.00
