• Conduct advanced field and laboratory tests on construction materials structures and systems
• Perform inspections and assessments of projects to ensure compliance with specifications and standards
• Collect analyze and interpret data from tests and inspections
• Prepare detailed technical reports and documentation of findings
• Operate and maintain advanced field and laboratory equipment
• Assist in the development and implementation of project plans and protocols
• Provide technical support and guidance to junior staff and team members
• Participate in quality control and quality assurance programs
• Communicate findings and recommendations to the Project Manager/Supervisor
• Follow all safety guidelines and procedures
• This position will require periodic travel for up to a month at a time at remote job sites for instance in the High Sierras.

• High school diploma or equivalent; associate degree or technical training preferred
• 2 years of experience in environmental geotechnical or construction-related fieldwork
• Familiarity with field sampling techniques soil and groundwater testing and use of field instruments
• Ability to read and interpret plans and specifications
• Comfortable working outdoors in varying conditions and lifting equipment as needed
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to accurate data collection and documentation
• Knowledge of health and safety protocols and ability to follow established procedures
• Excellent communication skills and ability to work collaboratively with engineers and project managers
• Flexibility to travel to project sites and adapt to changing schedules
• Will require physical drug screening Live Scan.

Salary Range:

$23.00 - $30.00
