Job Summary

Van-Am Tool & Engineering a custom manufacturer serving the aerospace defense and commercial industries is hiring a CDL Driver / Material Handler at our St. Joseph Missouri facility. This position is ideal for a dependable and safety-conscious professional who takes pride in efficient and accurate work.

This full-time position offers a four-day workweek from 5:00 AM to 3:30 PM Monday through Thursday. You will be home every night; local hauls only. Compensation starts at $25 per hour depending on experience. Van-Am provides a full benefits package including medical dental vision life disability and 401(k) with company match.

As a CDL Driver / Material Handler youll play a key role in our logistics and manufacturing operations. You will safely transport materials equipment and finished products between Van-Am facilities and customer locations while maintaining compliance with DOT regulations. You will perform pre- and post-trip inspections keep accurate delivery documentation and ensure all loads are properly secured for transport. A clean well-maintained vehicle and a professional appearance are essential.

Inside the facility youll assist with material handling duties such as loading and unloading shipments labeling and organizing inventory and coordinating with production departments to ensure materials flow smoothly. Success in this role requires attention to detail strong communication and a commitment to safety in every task.

Candidates must hold a valid Class A Commercial Drivers License (CDL) with a clean driving record and experience operating a full-size tractor-trailer semi. A high school diploma or equivalent is required. Prior experience in material handling or warehouse operations is preferred along with the ability to lift up to 50 pounds and operate forklifts and other material handling equipment.
