Job Summary

Bachelors degree in engineering; valid certificate as Engineer-In-Training issued or accepted as equivalent by Ohio Board of Registration for Professional Engineers & Surveyors; 2 yrs. engineering related experience.

-Or Valid certificate as Engineer-In-Training issued or accepted as equivalent by Ohio Board of Registration for Professional Engineers & Surveyors; 12 mos. exp. as Transportation Engineer 1 85641.

-Or equivalent of Minimum Class Qualifications For Employment noted above may be substituted for the experience required but not for the mandated registration.

What you will do:

  • Work with the Pavement Management System to identify the paving program over the planning horizon.
  • Program projects in Ellis (Capital Program Management System) to account for the paving projects needed.
  • Ensure the District Preservation Paving Program is Fiscally Constrained.
  • Cost Estimation of pavement projects.
  • Participate in Scope Meetings to provide guidance and direction.
  • Perform Field Reviews.
  • Coordination with County Operations and Construction to ensure questions/concerns are addressed.
  • Lead the Urban Paving Program and Application process while working with the local communities of their needs.
  • Plan & Permit Reviews to ensure standards and specs are met.
  • Pavement Design for proposed projects and activities.
  • Data analysis on historical trends projections and activities.
