Come work as a Youth Sexual Health Physician with Vancouver Coastal Health (VCH)!
Vancouver Coastal Health Public Health Program is seeking compassionate and experienced physicians to provide high-quality sexual health services on a sessional basis. This role involves working collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team to offer confidential inclusive and non-judgmental care for individuals of all ages genders and backgrounds.
As Youth Sexual Health Physician with Vancouver Coastal Health you will:
- Provide assessment testing treatment and counseling for sexually transmitted infections (STIs) HIV and other related conditions. PrEP/PEP management.
- Offer reproductive health services including contraception counseling pregnancy options medical abortions and referral for surgical abortion and LARC insertion and removals.
- Collaborate with the multidisciplinary team to ensure coordinated and holistic care.
- Maintain accurate and confidential clinical documentation in accordance with regulatory standards.
- Provide care that is inclusive trauma-informed and culturally safe.
- Promote harm reduction health equity and low barrier access to care.
The Richmond Hospital is a fully accredited 253 acute care bed facility serving a local population of 200000 with an additional catchment area of almost 120000. The City of Richmond is a unique island city located on Canadas Pacific Coast in close proximity to downtown Vancouver the Vancouver International Airport and the U.S. border. Richmond is an ethnically diverse centre with a growing population and one of the fastest growing seniors population in the province.
Qualifications
Education Licensing & Experience:
- Current College of Physicians of BC (CPSBC) - Mandatory
- Canadian Medical Protective Association (CMPA) - Mandatory
