Job Summary

  • Permanent part-time role (approx. 30 hours a week)

Your new role

Were looking for an enthusiastic Cook to join our team at Scots Early this role youll plan and prepare healthy balanced meals and snacks for children each day. Youll consider allergies special dietary needs and cultural requirements to make sure every child enjoys nutritious food that supports their growth and wellbeing.

As part of the Uniting Early Learning team youll work closely with educators to support learning through food experiences and ensure the kitchen operates to the highest standards of safety hygiene and care.

  • Plan menus that meet nutrition guidelines and childrens needs
  • Prepare and serve morning tea lunch and afternoon tea
  • Cater for allergies intolerances and cultural food requirements
  • Maintain a clean safe and welcoming kitchen environment
  • Manage stock food orders and records in line with food safety standards

About you

Youre organised reliable and passionate about providing nutritious food that helps children thrive. You work well as part of a team and understand the importance of food safety hygiene and inclusive meal planning.

Youll need:

  • A Food Handling Certificate (required)
  • A current Working with Children Check (TAS) and National Police Check
  • Experience cooking for groups ideally in an early learning or care setting
  • (Desirable) Level 2 Food Safety Supervisor Certificate
