A successful Greenwich primary school requires a diligent School Business Manger to oversee finance compliance and operational delivery from January 2026. The SBM will be a visible leader in school systems accountable for accurate financial stewardship and excellent administrative practice. Pre-start briefings will occur in the weeks before January 2026 with induction in January 2026 and the SBM fully in role from January 2026.

Main accountabilities - as SBM you will:
Produce budget plans monthly management accounts and statutory returns as the School Business Manger.
Ensure compliance with safeguarding admin health & safety checks and GDPR as the SBM.
Manage procurement contracts and value-for-money reviews as the School Business Manger.
Oversee premises management lettings and site staff as the SBM.
Line manage administrative staff and coordinate cover arrangements as the School Business Manger.
Required qualifications & attributes
We seek a candidate with experience in school finance or public sector accounting excellent Excel and MIS skills and a calm organised approach. The SBM will be resilient articulate and able to present complex data simply. You must be available to attend pre-start meetings before January 2026 induction in January 2026 and take up the SBM post from January 2026.
