We are seeking a dedicated and dependable Customer Support Representative to join our team and help us deliver excellent service to our clients. As a Customer Support Representative you will play a crucial role in ensuring that our customers have a smooth experience with our products and services resolving issues efficiently and providing outstanding support.

Position Overview

The Customer Support Representative is responsible for providing high-quality support to our clients by addressing inquiries troubleshooting issues and offering solutions that align with GreenTowns sustainable products and services. You will be the first point of contact for customers and will ensure that they have an excellent experience throughout their entire journey with GreenTown.

This is a fully remote role allowing you to work from the comfort of your own home and is perfect for individuals who are comfortable working independently and communicating effectively with customers via phone email and chat.

Key Responsibilities

Customer Support and Issue Resolution

  • Customer Inquiries: Respond to customer inquiries in a timely and professional manner via phone email and chat.

  • Issue Resolution: Troubleshoot product or service-related issues providing quick and effective solutions to ensure customer satisfaction.

  • Technical Assistance: Assist customers with any technical issues related to GreenTowns products and services escalating issues when necessary.

  • Customer Education: Provide customers with clear explanations and guidance on how to use GreenTowns products and services to achieve the best outcomes.

Customer Satisfaction and Retention

  • Customer Engagement: Maintain a high level of professionalism and empathy while engaging with customers to ensure they feel heard and valued.

  • Follow-up: Conduct follow-up communications to ensure that customers issues have been resolved to their satisfaction.

  • Feedback Collection: Gather customer feedback on our products services and support processes to help improve the overall customer experience.

  • Product Knowledge: Keep up-to-date with GreenTowns offerings ensuring you can provide accurate and comprehensive information to customers.

Collaboration and Reporting

  • Team Collaboration: Work closely with the Customer Success and Product teams to resolve issues and ensure customer satisfaction.

  • Escalation Support: When necessary escalate complex or unresolved issues to senior support staff or relevant departments.

  • Reporting: Document all customer interactions and feedback in our CRM system ensuring that customer data is kept accurate and up-to-date.

  • Knowledge Base: Contribute to our internal knowledge base adding insights and solutions that can help future customers.

Requirements
  • Experience: Previous experience in customer service or support roles is preferred ideally in a remote or tech-driven environment.

  • Skills:

    • Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to communicate complex information clearly and concisely.

    • Excellent problem-solving abilities with a keen attention to detail.

    • Proficiency in CRM systems (e.g. Zendesk Salesforce) and Microsoft Office Suite.

    • A customer-first attitude with a strong focus on delivering an exceptional customer experience.

  • Education: High school diploma or equivalent. A bachelors degree or relevant certifications in customer service communications or a related field is a plus.

  • Remote Work: Ability to work independently in a remote environment managing time effectively and maintaining self-motivation.

Preferred Skills and Qualifications
  • Sustainability Knowledge: Familiarity with green technologies renewable energy or environmental issues is a plus.

  • Experience with Remote Support Tools: Familiarity with live chat email ticketing systems and video conferencing platforms.
