Job Overview/Summary:
As an Operating Room Nurse at the Surgery Center you will circulate (and scrub if applicable) across a wide range of surgical specialties. This position offers an excellent work-life balance - no nights weekends or holidays.

Responsibilities:

Circulate in various surgical specialties with attention to patient safety and sterile technique.
Collaborate with surgeons anesthesiologists and surgical technicians to ensure smooth procedures.
Prepare and maintain the operating room environment.
Provide perioperative care including pre- and post-surgical support.
Adhere to all facility and regulatory safety standards.

Primary Skills:

Strong knowledge of surgical protocols and OR procedures.
Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
Ability to anticipate surgical team needs and manage high-stress environments.

Secondary Skills (Good to Have):

Scrub experience in multiple surgical specialties.
Familiarity with advanced surgical equipment and technology.

Qualifications:

Graduate of an accredited nursing program.
Active RN license in the District of Columbia.
BLS CPR certification through AHA Red Cross or Military Training (required).
OR experience required.
