Job Title: Microservices Engineer
Location: Sunnyvale CA (Hybrid)
Duration: 6 months

As a Microservices Engineer you will design and build highly scalable fault-tolerant and reactive systems leveraging cutting-edge technologies and modern programming languages. The Microservices Engineer will collaborate with cross-functional teams to architect cloud-native solutions deployed in Kubernetes ecosystems across Google Cloud Platform (GCP) and Microsoft Azure.

The Microservices Engineer will be responsible for developing and deploying n-tier microservices using Java Scala and Go while ensuring high performance reliability and maintainability. You will apply best practices in software design testing and performance optimization to deliver resilient and scalable solutions. Additionally the Microservices Engineer will play a key role in mentoring teams enforcing coding standards and driving innovation through research and experimentation.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design develop and deploy n-tier cloud-native reactive microservices using Java Scala Go and frameworks such as Spring Boot and Apache Camel.

• Architect and implement scalable distributed and fault-tolerant systems in Kubernetes environments hosted on GCP and Azure.

• Write clean maintainable and testable code emphasizing test-driven development (TDD) with JUnit and Mockito.

• Apply deep technical knowledge in multithreading networking and performance tuning for microservices.

• Build and integrate with RESTful APIs and manage deployments using Docker and Kubernetes orchestration.

• Architect data persistence layers using SQL and NoSQL databases such as Oracle Cassandra and Azure Cosmos DB.

• Participate in code reviews ensure documentation quality and promote software engineering best practices.

• Research emerging technologies and trends to continuously improve system architecture and performance.

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality secure and efficient solutions aligned with business goals.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

• Expert-level proficiency in Java and Spring Boot.

• Hands-on experience with microservice architecture RESTful APIs and reactive system design.

• Strong understanding of Kubernetes Docker and cloud-native deployment models.

• Experience with Apache Camel Tomcat and JBoss application servers.

• Proficiency in both SQL and NoSQL databases (Oracle Cassandra Azure Cosmos DB).

• Familiarity with JUnit Mockito and automated testing methodologies.

• Proven ability to optimize applications for performance scalability and fault tolerance.

• Solid understanding of distributed systems and experience working with remote teams.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience with Google Cloud Platform (GCP) and Microsoft Azure.

• Working knowledge of Scala and Go programming languages.

• Experience with research-driven projects and innovative architecture design.
