Job Summary
Responsibilities and Duties:
- Work closely with engineering management and assist in the development of design documents including engineering reports calculations and analysis drawings specifications and engineers opinion of probable construction
- Coordinate with other disciplines as well as other internal and external team members (e.g. vendors clients and contractors)
- Develop maintain and/or modify system components designs/proposals to provide installation and detail documentation
Requirements and Qualifications:
- Bachelor of Science (or higher) in Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering from an ABET accredited college or university
- 2 years of applicable experience in a government or contractor setting
- Must have experience in aviation design
- Must currently hold or be able to obtain a DoD security clearance at the secret level
- Ability to travel 10% of the time
Preferred Experience and Knowledge:
- Experience in Solidworks is highly desired
- Ability to work as part of a collaborative design team
- Desire and ability to lead small technical teams solving challenging multi-disciplinary design problems
