Agent Relationship Manager Southern Africa Luxury Safari Travel Company Cape Town
Kendrick Recruitment is seeking a commercially driven Agent Relationship Manager Southern Africa to join a prestigious luxury safari travel company. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing new business nurturing existing relationships and reactivating dormant accounts within Southern Africa. This role is key in promoting the companys high-end safari offerings and comprehensive destination management services.
New Business Development & Expansion
Identify and qualify high-potential trade partners across Southern Africa aligned with the companys premium safari and DMC services.
Lead outreach campaigns to convert new partners and grow business.
Develop compelling pitches highlighting the companys logistical expertise itinerary management operational resources and value-added services.
Re-engage dormant or lapsed partners showcasing service innovations and improvements.
Attend trade shows roadshows and industry events to generate leads and increase brand awareness.
Account Growth Relationship Management & DMC Exposure
Maintain and strengthen relationships with existing agent partners through full-service safari planning and DMC support.
Position the companys value proposition in all touchpoints including product updates training account reviews and marketing collaborations.
Develop customised strategies to help agents confidently sell a broader range of services.
Co-create sales enablement tools training content and digital assets.
Strategic Sales Planning & Market Intelligence
Monitor market trends competitor offerings and buyer expectations.
Share insights to inform broader team strategy and global messaging.
Deliver market-specific business reviews including KPIs account performance reactivation efforts and service uptake.
Additional Responsibilities
Provide input for product innovation systems development and service improvements.
Manage individual travel and sales budgets according to performance targets.
Support knowledge-sharing and collaboration across departments.
Minimum of 5 years experience in the African travel industry.
Proven ability to sell and position complex services in luxury travel safari operations or destination management.
Strong B2B relationship development and solution-based selling skills.
Familiarity with the Southern African safari trade landscape; existing network highly desirable.
Track record of acquiring new trade partners and reactivating dormant relationships with measurable outcomes.
Excellent communication presentation and storytelling skills.
Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel PowerPoint) and CRM platforms.
Familiarity with BI tools such as Power BI or similar platforms.
Digitally confident and professional across communication and collaboration tools.
High integrity passion for conservation-driven travel and a self-starting approach.
Promote the sales team as best-in-class externally and internally.
Represent the company as a key point of contact for trade partners.
Uphold company values including integrity service dedication teamwork and going the extra mile.
Attend staff events and all Training & Development programmes as required.
Work 9 hours per day including a one-hour lunch break with flexibility according to team setup.
Overtime may be required during peak periods compensated with time off in lieu.
Travel may be required locally and internationally for fam trips meetings and trade shows (trips may range from a few days to several weeks).
Must have a valid drivers licence and own reliable transport.
